BAFTA nominee Angela Samata presented the award-winning BBC1 documentary Life After Suicide. She has worked in Suicide Prevention and the Arts for almost two decades, speaking internationally on both subjects.
Angela sits on Tate Liverpool’s Advisory Board, lead the John Moores Painting Prize until 2015, is a Trustee of Hospital Rooms and an invited member of the Self Harm and Suicide Prevention All Party Parliamentary Group. She is co-founder of Grow Wellbeing and a founder member of the Speakers Collective.
Co-author of the NHS70 Parliamentary Award winning #SeeSaySignpost training, accessed by over 1.5 million people, Angela acts as a spokesperson and content advisor for broadcast media including the BBC, Channel 5 and Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.
With an MA in Art History and Curating, Angela recently completed a Churchill Scholarship travelling to venues across the UK, the USA and Japan researching Outsider Art.
