INSPIRED BY RON’S PLACE exhibition

Future Yard, 75 Argyle Street, Birkenhead, CH41 6AB.

Launch: 13 April, 5.30 – 8pm (RSVP below). Exhibition continues until mid May 2023.

Although the doors of Ron’s Place are currently closed to the public while we hatch plans for conservation and refurbishment, we’re thrilled to announce a fabulous #InspiredByRonsPlace exhibition hosted by Future Walls Gallery at Birkenhead’s very own Future Yard.

The exhibition showcases a wide variety of photography and artwork created by artists and makers inspired by the captivating atmosphere of Ron’s Place, the iconic home of the late Ron Gittins and flagship project of Wirral Arts and Culture Community Land Trust (WACCLT). The display includes artefacts and writings by Ron himself, giving a fascinating insight into the man who turned his rented home into a unique and immersive visionary art environment.

Throughout April until mid May we will be hosting a selection of creative workshops and activities which will give visitors the chance to get involved in WACCLT’s first project since Ron’s Place was saved. Participants will be able to have their own #InspiredByRonsPlace creations included in the exhibition as it evolves.

We hope you will join us for what promises to be an exciting and enjoyable opening evening celebrating our collaboration with Future Walls Gallery. If you can’t make it to the launch, the exhibition will be open to the public every day until mid May during Future Yard’s usual opening hours. Details of additional events will be posted on social media: https://linktr.ee/savingronsplace
