Ron’s Place features in world’s only ‘outsider’ art journal

Ron’s Place patron and filmmaker Martin Wallace describes his first encounter with Ron Gittins’ larger than life-size mural of Cleopatra “oozing Liz Taylor energy” in a piece for the latest edition of Raw Vision.
The magazine, which celebrates ‘outsider’ artists from around the world, dedicated three colour spreads to the Silverdale Road flat – and Martin’s thoughts on it.

We’ll leave it up to you to decide whether you agree with writer Laurence Thompson’s take on the current state of the peninsula’s cultural scene, but it’s great to see the local media continuing to celebrate the art works’ Grade II listing.
